CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. – October 4, 2024 – LT Security Inc. (LTS), leader in video surveillance products and solutions, announced today their charitable support for “Your Kind of Cuts,” a barbershop for special needs children in Nutley, New Jersey. The support was part of a comprehensive renovation of the shop by George to the Rescue, “a human interest/home improvement program that specializes in helping people and communities through the power of renovation and design.” LTS delivered a video security camera system to provide modern, high-tech security for the local shop, and Fred Caracciola at Tag Security installed the equipment.

Billy the Barber, as he is known, runs a unique barbershop in Nutley, New Jersey. He and his staff specialize in serving children with various conditions such as autism. These conditions make haircuts a challenging experience for the clientele. The team at “Your Kind of Cuts” are well-trained to make the clients feel at ease throughout the whole process. Their facility had been in need of renovation for some time, and that is where the crew from George to the Rescue came in.

George Oliphant, the show’s creator, and his crew renovate homes and businesses for people who prioritize service to their communities. These renovations are made possible in large part by sponsors, and LTS joined the list for this episode. “We were thrilled to hear about the need and jumped at the opportunity to offer security equipment. Learning about what Billy the Barber offers to his community was very inspiring for all of us. We were just so glad to help out and give back to the community – especially for this project,” said Jane Liang, sales associate at the LTS New Jersey office. “We know the cameras and equipment will provide a critical layer of security for the barbershop.”

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. – September 6, 2024 – LT Security Inc. (LTS) today announced the launch of its newest security video search tool for its Platinum line, “Direct Search.” Direct Search utilizes Platinum 8 MP cameras and select NVR models for this proprietary, AI-powered functionality designed with security installers and systems integrators in mind. Here, recorded footage tags persons- or vehicles-of-interest with key metadata to accelerate the process of locating them in recorded footage later. Not only is the search process much faster, but it is also vastly more accurate as well. Details on how it works follows.

Direct Search for security video
Platinum 8 MP cameras harness AI technology to extract features and attributes. Then, Platinum Cameras and NVRs use that metadata to locate a person using any combination of several different parameters – such as color of clothing, a hat or beard, handbag or backpack, gait, and eyeglasses for persons, and color, type, direction, and other parameters for vehicles.

The result is that security personnel can quickly locate and follow targets and their trajectories in critical areas, both in real time and after an event. But it is the rate at which the targets are located that is the most significant factor in Direct Search. A process that once took several hours now, quite literally, can be accomplished in seconds.

Real world examples
When a customer returns to find their car damaged in the parking lot, security staff can use Direct Search to go back in recorded footage, designate a line-crossing rule, for example, and then find video clips where a person or vehicle crossed that line to cause the damage. Within seconds, video clips will appear in the dashboard that include revealing footage.

Another example might occur when a child or perhaps an elderly person wanders off in a crowded place. A security guard can use given search parameters to find video clips of the caregiver; then, he or she can trace back through the footage to find that caregiver with the target (the lost child or elder) and determine when and where they wandered off.

These are just two of innumerable possible scenarios. Direct Search promises to be extremely helpful in such cases, especially when investigating allegations of a crime. Evidence needed for verification can be found quickly and precisely.

Privacy is protected here, too, as Direct Search does not use or require facial recognition to locate targets in footage. This design will open up more markets for Direct Search, as it both outperforms facial recognition and can be used in applications that prohibit face capture and recording in security video.

Direct Search is compatible with the new 86/87/89 D-N Series NVRs and most Platinum IP video security camera models after firmware upgrade.

(LTS), leader in video surveillance products and solutions, today launches its most advanced comprehensive cloud management solution to date: the LTS Platinum Partner. This online configuration tool is designed to significantly speed up new IP video security installations by sidestepping port forwarding and other costly and time-consuming setup procedures. Virtually all other basic installer tasks – batch configurations, activation, adding devices, and much more – will now be accomplished online instead of on-site, saving money, time, and effort.

A whole new approach
From the LTS website: “Platinum Partner is a mobile and web-based remote IP portal and configuration tool. No PC software is required to take full advantage of its extensive capabilities. All LTS Platinum IP video security products can be managed on this expansive, cloud-based platform. [Installers & systems integrators will] enjoy batch activation, configuration, and maintenance – all of that and more can be accomplished here, quickly and reliably.”

When it comes to new IP video security installations, one of the primary costs is the time and effort required in the port forwarding process; the same goes for resuming or reconfiguring existing systems. LTS seeks to make those difficulties a thing of the past by using the world wide web and simple, intuitive client interfaces. The next most costly element for installers is the on-site visits for simple maintenance, device registration, and other processes. LTS’s fully NDAA-compliant Pro-X lineup seeks to set a new standard for the security industry market today. PoE Switches
LTS’s “Power-over-Ethernet” (PoE) Switches support security cameras installed at extended distances with up to 1 Gbps of stable data transmission and up to 90 Watts of power – with one cable. PoE switches easily scale up for system expansion without major infrastructure changes. The four models announced today also add value to IP security systems in a few important ways

First, they provide system status monitoring, which assists security staff with identifying critical security needs. Next, these switches offer flexible VLAN configuration and link aggregation. The remote port configuration and operation reduces time and effort requirements for personnel and boosts efficiency.
